Vail, Colorado Winter Wedding

These two flew in from their current residence of Hong Kong into a snowy, winter wonderland in Vail! Little did any of us expect that it would be a weekend full of record setting avalanches, snow thigh-high, and a cold spell that wasn't going to let up. But Madeline and Austin are such troopers and loved every second of their destination wedding! It is always so fun to have easy-going, laid-back couples because whatever happens they will enjoy every second of it!

I actually met Madeline way back in my high school days in Oregon! Her and I rowed together on a crew team. She was always someone who I adored spending time with, rowing our hearts out along the west coast, and making me laugh. I hadn't heard from her in so long, and then out of the blue she told me all about Austin and their wedding in Vail! Photography has brought so many wonderful people into my life, and others who I get to reconnect with. There is nothing better than seeing an old friend find an amazing partner in life!

Their wedding day took place at Donovan Pavilion that has a stunning tree lined ceremony location. Unfortunately, due to this crazy weather, the tent had to cover the ceremony site. Yet again, Madeline and Austin didn't seemed bothered and all that mattered were their sweet vows. Austin couldn't help but bring along his ski goggles, and make his groomsmen wear them too...just for a bit! You have to live it up when you are in Vail for your wedding day!

The evening was gorgeous with blue accents, candle lit tables, stunning florals and greenery, along with a s'mores bar, and dried-ice ice cream! These two wanted all their out of town guests to party the night away and share in the winter environment of the Rockies!
