Can we talk about elopements for a minute? There is something so special, sincere, and personal about a couple eloping. It was truly a highlight from my 2017 wedding year. Chelsea and Brandon wanted to elope in the Rockies. We brainstormed about so many locations, and then it came to me! We have to do this at my favorite lake in Colorado! This place is full of those Rocky Mountain views, a gorgeous lake with streams and waterfalls near by. Moose in the field are a usual site (see them below!) We could explore together, and have room to let them say their vows in the mountains.
Against the edge of the lake these two exchanged vows that made me tear up. You can read more about it on Rocky Mountain Bride where they were featured the other day! We actually started the day with a first look in the foothills of Boulder, a spot dear to them that they hike around with their dog. With the morning rain and fog laying over the Flatirons, we then took off for the mountains and the lake where the sun started to rise! I think the images tell the rest of this amazing morning for these two!
(P.S. a bride who wears her leather hiking boots, and then wants to jump in that glacial water with her dress, is my kind of bride!)
