Prepare yourself for one of the most inspiring "vintage camping" weddings of the year! Krista and Justin reside in the gorgeous town of Edwards, Colorado and they have lived in that area for many, many years. Naturally, they brought together some of the most amazing vendors in the Vail/Edwards area to bring such an amazing and inspring wedding. But I want to back up and share a bit about these two!
Justin had a pup who you will see here named Norman (sadly he has since passed away). Krista has a pup named Sophie! When Justin and Krista met, so did their dogs, and all together they became a family of four!
Norman had been Justin's side kick for so many years, and Sophie the same for Krista. I have had many weddings in the past that involve including the family dog, but this wedding was different. Norman and Sophie not only attended every part of the wedding day from getting ready, to the first look, and ceremony! They wanted the pups to be comfortable and walk around wherever they pleased. It was so cute! During the wedding ceremony they both exchanged vows and rings, but also biscuits to each other's dog!
Justin and Krista's hearts are in these Rocky Mountains and they wanted to celebrate at Bearcat Stables (a working ranch) that is tucked away between some of those epic mountains. Krista makes amazing Pendleton fabric purses. Yearly, she does to trade shows where she sells her purses. She started asking friends at the trade shows to collect and purchase these old vintage camping thermoses and supplies she saw around these shows. Scroll down to see the most epic wedding decor! From old Coleman coolers, to the most fun thermos mugs of all shapes and colors, to vintage blankets! It was so much hard work that Krista put into seeing her vision come alive!
If you have a mountain wedding then there is no better florist than Vail Vintage Magnolia! They are an incredibly and visionary team who handle mountain weddings like it's nothing (which isn't the case and often so much more difficult). Anyway, the owner had an idea to bring in her old Suburban that is the company car and deck it out with florals! It was the "welcoming" sign for the wedding and was such a big hit!
These two wanted their family and friends to just celebrate all evening with them! With a simple and sweet ceremony, it was off to s'mores making, a pie bar full of all the most delicious berries, an evening snack/pretzel bar too! Dancing with their loved ones under the big Colorado sky and the stars out was truly magical!
