I’m bringing up another photography hot topic- using manual on your camera. I have been doing tip Tuesday’ over on my Instagram account you can find here. I love hearing from others who are interested in starting photography, or want to know how I got to where I am within 2 years. Yes, 2 years of hustling like a lady boss! So I have been sharing some tips that has allowed me to advance, and do it quickly!
I know there are times when manual isn’t optimal but let me point a few things out:
Manual allows for you to get to know your camera body much better. It is simply giving you, the photographer, the reins to make the calls on all your settings for each image. You control the ISO, aperture, and shutter speed.
Have you found at times that you are not getting an image to look how you want, well I recommend to turn your nob on your camera body to “m” for manual.
I believe it allows for the artist in you to truly come out, you will understand your settings and camera much better, and you will advance within your skill set.
Once you understand your camera better, then play around with other settings like aperture priority, but first, learn exactly what you have in your hands. It is an incredible tool, but you are the artist.
I double dare you to dive in if you don’t already and start using the manual setting!
