It is never a dull moment around here! This time last year one of Boulder's amazing planners, Leah Colbey of La Dolce Events, and I were dreaming up with Boulder Lifestyle Magazine, a Kentucky Derby themed spread for the magazine! From modern florals draping over the horses, to learning the ways of making a correct mint julep, while being on a private ranch estate in Longmont, it made for a stunning day!

But of course, not every day can go off without a hitch! Apparently I am allergic to horses. I really haven't been around them since I was in high school. I pet them and made friends...then suddenly I started to get short of breath mid shoot. I looked down at my arms that had huge welts all the way up to my neck and face. The show must go on! I was not about to call it quits! With all things considered, I love how this styled session turned out, with my hives and all!
