Where do I begin with Renee and Justin! Over the last year, these two D.C. residents decided to make Estes Park the destination for their wedding day, and I am so glad they did! It was a mix of amazing cultures with Renee's Thai background, and Justin's Puerto Rico! There were touches and traditions throughout the ceremony and reception that made for a really unique wedding!
First Look Events helped plan their wedding day, and once again, I cannot express how important it is to at least have a day-of coordinator to bring everything together! There are always so many unexpected situations that can pop up, and for this wedding day it was full of crazy weather. Estes Park especially sees so many shifts in weather throughout just one day. You will see these two made the best of the rain that came. It was a gorgeous sunny morning, which led into thunder and lightening, then down pouring during the ceremony, and then again drizzling, and a cloudy night. I am grateful Renee and Justin rolled with the punches! Being a Colorado wedding photographer, I see this happen often, and am always grateful for the help a planner brings to what can turn into a chaotic moment or five!
I always love to mention something that sticks out to me for each wedding day. For these two it was their first look! Right at the boarder of the entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park, Justin waited for Renee to see her for the first time. There is nothing better than when all the anticipation comes to a culminating point. Justin is the sweetest guy, and couldn't hold back the tears. I tell my couples to enjoy this special moment, allow whatever to happen, as I take a big step back and let them have some time together.
I am grateful for the opportunity to capture these two's wedding in Estes Park, and share in a truly amazing day!
