Crested Butte is one of my TOP recommendations for getting married! I have traveled here before but this was my first wedding and it was INCREDIBLE! I adore this area and find the cute, colorful downtown to be such a joy to adventure around. But then you take those back roads that are very accessible to most anyone and you enter into an outdoor wonderland.
Nika and Andrew wanted to treat their families to the beauty that is Colorado! Crested Butte has it all in the fall, snow capped mountain tops, changing aspens , the valley turning golden, crisp air, streams flowing. It is truly magical to get married here! I will recommend it over and over again!
Enjoy a few images while I share the rest of their story below. I had to start off with this incredible first kiss after being announced as husband and wife because it is breathtaking!
Unfortunately (and fortunately), this was not their plan A, B, or C. Their guest count had to keep dwindling because of Covid and restrictions.
The first venue and original plans were thrown to the wind, and then came about a more micro-wedding, intimate experience in the backcountry of Crested Butte.
Wow, did this location and new plan deliver! I cannot get enough of those mountains and scenery!
With Nika and Andrew exchanging hilarious vows amongst their closest people, it made for the perfect day.
Nika said she chose to highlight those people throughout the day because that is what matters most anyway. Her two best friends walked her down the aisle. Another best friend married them and was the officiant. Andrew's mother shared a thoughtful message.
All while the cows literally roamed behind and around us!
The day ended at Sunflower Café in downtown Crested Butte; which features a farm to table experience.
The restaurant set up the sweetest tent for them. Fall foliage and flowers created an entrance that felt private and very much "Colorado."
I am incredibly grateful after much re-planning and reorganizing that their day came together and they could celebrate even during these uncertain times!
