Genis reached out to me during the pandemic with hopes of coming out to Colorado to elope with her fiancé. These two Texans love the Colorado Rockies so much are a special part of their love story. It only felt fitting and right for them to return to the Rockies for their vows. Both felt a real desire to elope and that it fit their personalities best.
I met them one evening in the foothills of the Rockies outside of Boulder as they said their vows, exchanged rings, and had their first kiss as husband and wife. With no one around, it was a peaceful, calm and private moment that was so special. After they had a first dance together in the field as they looked out to the view of the mountains. Then it was time to run around the fields, capture some portraits of them as husband and wife, and get a big champagne toast in!
Although Covid makes it so hard to have a wedding these days, there are options. They may not be plan A or even B, but as I keep saying, love still wins! Even during a pandemic!
