I have to just say it, Heritage Cabin at the Catamount Ranch in Steamboat Springs, Colorado is my favorite location in that area. It is just breathtakingly beautiful! The cabin itself is so well preserved and a great place to get ready for any couple. There is so much history in that little area, which makes it so unique to say your vows at. The cabin used to be home to some of the first settlers in the Yampa Valley who were trappers for fur. There are some old buildings still standing and tools used from farming. The backdrop for the wedding was the lake area and the big, open Colorado summer sky!
Nicole and Justin didn't want a lot of fuss with their day. They wanted their family and friends, who were all from out of town, to enjoy the area. After the ceremony everyone went into downtown Steamboat Springs for the reception at the Aurum Food and Wine Restaurant. It is the perfect place for a low-key reception! The restaurant has a sprawling outdoor area that overlooks the Yampa River. With some personal touches of name cards for the tables that were their favorite places throughout Colorado, sweet vows from all their families, and a dance party that went all night, it was just what these two hoped for!
