Under the winter sky that was ready to sprinkle us with snow, and the Flatirons in Boulder, Colorado, these two decided to elope last minute while in town! I loved their nontraditional ways and just going for it! I can't think of anywhere that is better to decide to elope than at the foothills of the Rocky Mountains!
She stepped out of the car with the cutest flower crown; he put on his bow tie; simple vows were read; no rings were exchanged but the sweetest kiss was; papers were officially signed; and then off we went for fun in the fields at Chautauqua Park.
I rarely share this, but my husband and I almost eloped! Planning a wedding comes with so many dynamics that can be really difficult and exhausting. Sometimes I wonder what would have been if we did. I fee like a part of me is still wishing we had! When I get to capture an elopement I can't help but really support those couples, and cheer them on!
At the end of our session the skies opened and the snow fell! It was the perfect ending for these two! I am so grateful they welcomed me into being a witness of their special elopement in the Rockies the day after Christmas!
