I moved to Boulder, CO 2.5 years ago and have fallen in love with this great state and amazing community. Sometimes I get these ideas that always come at a random time, when I am the busiest…and feel it is necessary to run with it. And that is just what I did! I wanted to create a styled wedding with amazing people from the area, with a “Tribute to Boulder” feel. With embracing all that Boulder has to offer, it needed to reflect an elopement and intimate ambiance. There is something to be said for these beautiful foothills that the town sits under. One evening, with those Rocky Mountains that peak over the hills, we wandered between Boxcar Coffee in Boulder, and these mountains to bring out the best of Boulder with the collaboration of incredible talent.
So let’s start off with this couple. These two are married and made the perfect couple for our shoot. In additional to being married, I was hoping for a couple that is from Boulder. These two nailed that! The groom was raised in Boulder and they had “that look” and love for each other that shines through the images.

I met the owner and baker of Rose Bud Bakeshop and my words just came fumbling out of my mouth. It went something like “pleeeeaseeeeee make the cake!” Tiffani, the owner, ran with my vision. Or should I say… she sprinted! This naked cake was beyond what I hoped for. It is so simple, yet has character and a bit of a rustic touch. And lets just say, after the shoot, we devoured that cake. It is as delicious as it looks!
If you know Boulder, then you know Boxcar Coffee. People come through those doors continually all day. It feels like the focal point to Boulder and I wanted to highlight a “cheers” at the cafe. I love how elopements can feel so carefree and during the shoot this was an opportunity to relax and clink those coffee mugs together.
I felt so honored and grateful to all the creatives in Boulder who joined in this styled shoot. Many thanks to…
