I traveled from the West Coast to the East Coast for weddings during my 2018 season. It is always so fun to see the different trends in each place. I will say, each coast has a little different vibe, or thing that sets them apart for wedding trends. But this season there was one trend that I saw at the majority of my weddings.
Long veils!
I feel like veils disappeared for a bit a few seasons ago, but they're back and longer than ever!
I saw some of the longest veils this season and they did not disappoint! It is so fun to capture portraits with long veils. There are so many unique images you can get! Compared to shorter veils in the past, I felt like the brides that had longer veils really put more time and attention into them. Some were BHLDN veils that the bride first chose before her actual dress, while another was passed down from a sister. I loved the lace detail in many of them, and added character they brought to the bridal look.
From the foothills of Boulder, Colorado, the towering mountains of Estes Park, to the lush, green hills of Maryland, here are some of my favorite veils from 2018!
